Colombian, Huila
Medium Roast
Cultivated high in Colombia’s Andes Mountains, coffee from the Huila region is celebrated for its beautiful balance of sweetness, acidity, and body. Nutrient-rich volcanic soil, elevated growing conditions, and steady rainfall allow the coffee cherries to develop gradually, producing beans with both familiar richness and lively complexity. The cherries are harvested by hand so farmers can select the ripest fruit for processing.
We chose a medium roast to preserve the qualities that have made Colombian coffee a favorite around the world. This complex cup offers a crisp yet creamy mouthfeel, balancing a rich foundation of chocolate and caramel with a bright, fruity citrus finish. It is smooth and approachable enough for everyday enjoyment while offering enough depth to reward closer attention.
Your brewing method can emphasize different sides of its character. A pour-over highlights the brighter fruit and citrus notes, while a French press brings its chocolate, caramel, natural sweetness, and satisfying body forward. Our coffee trader sources these beans through ASPROCESA, a 44-member Huila producer association that supports organic certification, education, healthcare, and improved quality of life for its members.
